There is something enabling about carrying out a task from beginning to end. When the kids were younger and all at home, the toothpaste tube was always a mess. No one seemed to care about careful, efficient, tidy use of the paste.
That’s all changed now. I have my own tube. No one else uses it. I recruit my best OCDness to keep it clean and capped and squeezed from the bottom. When I completely use up a tube, I start again with a brand new one. From beginning to end, it’s all mine.
Amen, Bossman! I feel the same way about peanut butter, hand lotion, and jelly with no crumbs in it!
