Gratitude365- “Seeing” (KNM#47)

As a photographer I finding myself constantly looking for interesting images. Even if I don’t have a camera with me, I look for patterns, and interesting light, and fun situations.  Thus, the blessing of photography is that I see more of the great things that life has to offer. Most of the time these great things are right in front of us.  We just need to open our eyes (and heart and mind) to be able to see them.

I love this fun moment from Central Park. This unsuspecting pair was “bubbled up” by this large, colorful, bubble.  The scene was only there for a moment and only appreciated from the perfect vantage point. It made the stroll through the park more enjoyable that day.

Gratitude365- Unsung Heroes (KNM#46)

Medical delivery has become increasingly more challenging in today’s environment. The complexities are tremendous in dealing with increasing government regulation, ever changing insurance demands, highly variable abilities and needs among a large support staff, the need for continued fine tuning of efficience, delivering exceptional quality health care, keeping patients happy, and maintaing in check the expectations and egos of multiple physicians. Who in their right mind would want to administer health care today? I am grateful for compassionate and highly competent leaders in managing our medical practice needs.

Gratitude365- Drama (KNM#45)

Las Vegas is not known for its dramatic skies.  Yet there are days.  And with the help of some post-processing magic, this scene is dramatic.  I love the lines, the patterns, and the contrast.

Gratitude365- Beloved Son (KNM#44)

Tonight I express gratitude for my son, David. The name David literally means “beloved”. Indeed he is beloved to me. We have shared many great times and experiences together.  Our conversations have been meaningful and clear. I miss his kindness.  I miss his willingness to serve.  I miss his sense of humor.  I miss his warm hugs and expressions of love.  May God keep my beloved son.

Gratitude365- From Soup to Nuts (KNM#43)

There is something enabling about carrying out a task from beginning to end. When the kids were younger and all at home, the toothpaste tube was always a mess. No one seemed to care about careful, efficient, tidy use of the paste.
That’s all changed now. I have my own tube. No one else uses it. I recruit my best OCDness to keep it clean and capped and squeezed from the bottom. When I completely use up a tube, I start again with a brand new one. From beginning to end, it’s all mine.
