I am grateful for the innocence that infants bring into the world. They are fresh from Heavenly Father’s presence. They are untainted by the world. No wonder we are taught to become as little children if we are to return to live with God.
Sometimes you just have to chuckle about the themes that are developed by some of the hotels here in town. I was at the Silverton Hotel today, a hotel situated next door to the Bass Pro Shop on I-15. The hunter’s theme would be an obvious winner at the Silverton. True to form, you can find white antler chandeliers hanging over your well-planned event. Only in Vegas, baby.
Today we participated in a health fair at the Silverton Hotel. I am grateful for the wonderful doctors and staff that I am able to work with each day. My job is a great blessing in my life.
We visited the gravesite of Michelle’s mother, Marian, last weekend. One of the family members had recently left flowers. Each week I see patients with very limited vision and this has helped me appreciate my own vision and the ability to enjoy colors. I appreciate our colorful world.
Last weekend we celebrated the 80th birthday of Michelle’s father, Merlin O. Baker. He is a wonderful patriarch of a growing posterity. He is a man of principle, a man of integrity, and a man of compassion. He is a bright example of one who follows God in word and in deed. I am grateful for the way he has blessed my life.
