Gratitude365- Just One Weakness (KNM#162)

Ok, you are right. It’s one of many weaknesses. But I’m a sucker for frozen yogurt. My latest darling is Yogurtland. It’s all about the calcium and vitamins and probiotics. And the taste is tolerable as well. The worst thing about Yogurtland is the looming decision each time I indulge — tart or sweet?

Gratitude365- Gift of Time (KNM#161)

I enjoyed spending time with my family over the 4th of July holiday. It was great having some down time with Michelle, Alan, James, Richard and other special friends. Richard made a long trek from Boulder, Co. to be with us. I am grateful for his visit, for the time he gave to the family, and for his bright influence on our home.

Gratitude365- Kind and Effective Leaders (KNM#160)

Yesterday, the Redrock Stake Presidency visited the Rainbow Vista ward leadership and offered training. It was a wonderful session during which our small group of leaders heard from each member of the presidency. We were trained in the spirit of humility and kindness. We were given clear concepts and allowed to share our own feelings. We learned under the influence of the Spirit. One of the most memorable ideas for me was the importance of giving service if we are to be saved. I appreciate these good and inspired men.

Gratitude365- SmugMug to the Rescue? (KNM#159)

We all love shooting digital photos. Yet most of these end up hidden away on our hard drives, never to see the light of day. Even for us non-professionals, sharing is a very important part of the process of photography as a creative outlet. For years I have used Mobile Me photo galleries as an easy and beautiful way to share photos. Yet on June 30, 2012, MobileMe came to a sudden, albeit announced, death. For reasons unclear to me, Apple did not offer an immediate altenative to the Mac galleries. Enter SmugMug which has a good reputation among photographers as a beautiful site for sharing photos and videos. This weekend Richard helped me customize the SmugMug interface and I am hopeful it will be a worthy replacement for my MobileMe galleries. It is great to have options.

Gratitude365- Tuacahn (KNM#158)

The Tuacahn Amphitheatre is nestled in the red rock formations of Ivins, Utah just outside of St. George. We had a wonderful family get away last night as we traveled north for the performance of Disney’s Aladdin. The performance was excellent — creative, professional, and lots of fun. The special visual effects were amazing. I am thankful for a wonderful evening with my family.
