Enjoying the moment, that is today, is critical to our happiness. And planning for the future is useful. But looking back is also an important part of a full life. Remembering the past, we relive important feelings and lessons that can help us stay focused and help us keep perspective.
I have long been a sucker for beautiful clouds. To me they are like fingerprints in the sky. Every cloud presentation is unique and never exactly duplicated. The light was just right this day to illuminate the lonely hill below the billowing beauties. I am grateful I can experience clouds.
There is so much wisdom in the address by Elder Busche mentioned in my last post. I must mention a few more of his words.
I recently returned to a talk by Elder F. Enzio Busche given in 1996 at BYU. In an address entitled “Unleashing the Dormant Spirit”, he outlines many inspired pearls to help us live in happiness. I will quote just one in this post.
In case you couldn’t tell who was the mother and who was the daughter from post #331, this is the daughter missionary Elizabeth. In a world where there is much darkness and even wickedness among the youth, Elizabeth and many young men and young women like her are a light to all of us. They trust in God and brighten the path of all those with whom they have contact. I am grateful for the example of the youth of Zion.
