I appreciate the renewal of life that awakens us each year. Springtime is magical as new life and new colors make their way into our daily perceptions. Even in the desert that encompasses Las Vegas, we are treated to new colors and new smells.
I am so thankful for my mother who passed away several years ago. I always knew she loved me and wanted the best for me. Through her suggestions and insight, she significantly shaped my life for good. I suspect she is still influencing my life from the other side of the veil. Thank you Mom. I love you.
I hope you enjoy this image of my mother, Karlene.
I am grateful to work in an office with many good-hearted people. Saturday we had a company picnic and much was done behind the scenes to make it a fun and festive event for both grown-ups and children. I appreciate working among individuals who foster good relationships in and out of the office. Relationships always trump duties.
I am grateful for the many tools that allow us to take advantage of the power of the internet. Posterous has been my blog hosting site for the Gratitude365 project. But Posterous just closed their doors several months after being bought out by Twitter and Posterous is no longer functional. I still have a few posts to complete my project and will do this through my new blog site (many thanks to Richard for setting it up) at: kevinnedmiller.com. Come on over and join me.
I am slowly learning to appreciate the now, the things that are part of our present, day-to-day world. A beautiful sunrise is a treasure that we rarely experience. It is a gift from God that occurs each day and it is often beautiful but we are usually not part of it. I am thankful when I can connect with such beauty.
