Gratitude365- Kennecott Memories (KNM#209)

I was in Salt Lake this past weekend and went out early one morning, chasing the best light of the day for photographs. The golden light of the morning illuminated the outwardly visible elements of the Kennecott Copper Mine. This brought to mind the sweet memory of my father who grew up near the mine. Dad worked there for several years and his father, Leonard, had a general store in Lark, a tiny town that serviced many miners and their families. I am grateful to have fond and loving memories of my father and grandfather who were part of the small communities around Kennecott.
